Description

Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Financial Analyst 1 to join our Financial Planning & Analysis Team. This position can be performed in person, hybrid or fully remote.
Our Financial Analyst 1 will have an opportunity to work on a wide variety of assignments and get a broad experience in supporting multiple sectors.
Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will build relationships with program managers and corporate department leaders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes financial information for business stakeholders for use in the decision making process.
  • Support all aspects of program financial management and reporting, interfacing with Program Management, Contracts, Accounting and the Project Accounting teams.
  • Provide cost and variance analyses.
  • Monitor company funding and spending for subcontractors.
  • Support the program during the month end financial close through review of program results and creating cost accruals.
  • Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to create financial forecasts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s with 0 - 2 years (or commensurate experience)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Clearance Required: None

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of the various contract types.
  • Strong business analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and various lookups.
  • Preferably 1+ year of financial analysis, including internship experience.
  • Must be self-motivated, energetic, critical thinker that is able to work with a diverse team.
