We are looking for a motivated Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will work closely with two teams to analyze large data sets, generate detailed reports, and contribute to critical financial processes. This position offers a great opportunity for recent graduates or professionals with up to a few years of experience who are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

• Analyze and interpret large datasets to create comprehensive and accurate financial reports.
• Reconcile various accounts, including bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets, on a monthly and ad hoc basis.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage and manipulate data for financial analysis.
• Support compliance efforts by preparing documentation and assisting with audits as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting and data reconciliation.
• Assist in financial planning and analysis, including cash flow and cost analysis.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
• Learn and work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support reporting and reconciliation tasks.
• Meet tight deadlines with a two-week turnaround for specific deliverables.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting support as requested.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data manipulation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when working with large datasets.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Solid understanding of account reconciliation processes and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities within team settings.
