Key accountabilities include:

  • Management Reporting & Financial Analysis: Support preparation of month-end reports on key metrics and delivery to key stakeholders, monitoring of people costs and conduct in-depth financial analysis, including but not limited to, financial modelling, variance analysis, and trend forecasting to support decision-making processes
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working collaboratively with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation within financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for action
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and accounting standards, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, fostering collaboration and communication to achieve shared financial objectives

Responsibilities

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Analyst to join the Santos team based at our global headquarters in Adelaide.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position is responsible for a broad range of accounting and reporting deliverables, including reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting and providing financial analysis for the Midstream & Energy Solutions business.
The ability to co-ordinate the delivery of key business processes will be a key requirement of the role. Hence, we are looking for a candidate with strong problem solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who are seeking to be challenged and grow with the business.
