The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, with experience in the health care and/or insurance industries. Location: Remote What you will do: Performs the more complex financial functions related to the health insurance products maintained by the Health System including claims reserves, forecasting by product line, external reporting, and special projects. Oversees Health Insurance statutory reporting and tax return preparation with assistance from outside vendors. Statutory financial reporting. Accounting close entries and reconciliations. Updating actuarial lag schedules, data gather and analysis for various payments and claims. Effectively manage close, quarterly/annual reporting, budgeting/forecasting. What you will need: Requires extensive knowledge of accounting and financial analysis principles, theories, and techniques of accounting acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Finance or Accounting. Accounting degree with CPA preferred. Five years of progressively responsible work experience with a minimum of three years direct financial analyst experience. Analytical ability to find solutions to financial accounting and data problems.
