Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As a Financial Analyst for Corporate Development, will play a pivotal role in shaping Svante’s strategic growth by modeling and evaluating corporate transactions such as financings, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships. Working closely with the Corporate Development team and senior leadership, you will help identify and assess opportunities that align with the company’s long-term vision.
In this opportunity, you will be the go-to expert for financial analysis and modeling. You will maintain and continuously enhance the company’s long-term corporate financial model, analyze market and macroeconomic trends, and develop economic assessments for customer-specific CO₂ capture plant opportunities. You will also support internal business owners by preparing detailed, ad hoc financial analyses that drive informed decision-making across the organization.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE:

  • You will develop and maintain corporate financial models to forecast performance and evaluate strategic initiatives such as capital raises, M&A, joint ventures, and partnerships.
  • You will perform detailed financial analysis, including valuations, discounted cash flow models, financial statement reviews, and scenario planning.
  • You will build and refine project-specific models to assess the economics of carbon capture plant opportunities.
  • You will conduct market research to identify industry trends, new business opportunities, and potential M&A targets.
  • You will support capital markets activities, including equity and debt transactions.
  • You will assist in due diligence for strategic transactions and partnerships.
  • You will contribute to shareholder relations by providing analysis on historical and projected corporate performance.
  • You will prepare presentations and reports to communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
