EDUCATION:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required; CPA or MBA designation is considered an asset.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

· 4–5 years of experience in the areas of financial modeling, budgeting & forecasting, accounting, and management/financial reporting
· Strong analytical and mathematical skills with knowledge of accounting principles.
· Advanced Excel proficiency required; experience with budgeting tools (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning, Vena, Hyperion, Cognos) is an asset.
· Detail-oriented with strong execution, time management, and organizational skills.
· Willingness to learn and succeed in the absence of clear or defined process.
· Adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or in a team with minimal supervision.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
LOCATION (hybrid work model):
This position follows a hybrid work model, combining remote work with in-office presence based on the needs of daily responsibilities, specific projects, team collaboration, and scheduled meetings. Applicants must be flexible and available to work on-site at least two days per week. The office is located on Cardiff Boulevard in Mississauga.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), this role plays a key part in supporting the Finance Department’s objectives, with a strong emphasis on financial modeling for budgeting, forecasting, business valuation, and acquisition. Additional responsibilities include conducting financial research and analysis, preparing monthly management reports, supporting month-end close activities, analyzing financial statements, driving process improvements, and contributing to special projects as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop and support complex Excel-based financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, incorporating variables such as business conditions, debt, and capital expenditures.
· Build and support valuation models including income statements, fair market value assessments, NPV, and cash flow analysis to support strategic decision-making.
· Present key insights and model outputs to the FP&A team and management.
· Leverage advanced Excel functions/formulas, automation tools, and data visualization software to enhance model accuracy and clarity.
· Assist in managing the budgeting and forecasting process with branch managers, including enhancing Workday Adaptive Planning models and reports.
· Support monthly financial close activities, including financial statement analysis and variance reviews.
· Recommend and implement process and technology improvements within the FP&A function.
· Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of FP&A, Director of Finance, or CFO.
