JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director, the Financial Analyst will play an integral role in the day-to-day management of over $70 million in athletic budgets. This position will primarily be responsible for the daily reconciliation and reporting of ticket and contribution revenues, internal budget reporting, and the weekly reconciliation of non-compensation expense transactions. The incumbent also provides oversight and reconciliation of travel and purchasing cards and assists with the preparation of various University, NCAA, Conference, and governmental financial and ticketing reports. The incumbent will prepare financial reports and analyze financial information, while also assisting in the management of day-to-day activities involved in processing and reconciling business documents such as journal entries, purchase orders, invoices, travel and expense reports, and student worker payroll. The Financial Analyst will have signature authority on purchases and will assist in identifying cost-saving initiatives and creating operational efficiencies for all department business-related functions. Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, sport management, or a related field. Experience in reconciliation management and reporting. Demonstrated budget and financial reporting experience. Experience managing confidential and sensitive data. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
