Finance Analyst

Location: Melbourne

Salary: $100,000 – $110,000 + Super

Employment: Full-time

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Finance Analyst to join a growing and purpose-led organisation.

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, this role will suit either a first mover from audit looking to transition into a commercial environment, or someone who has already made that move and is looking to continue developing their commercial finance experience.

You'll gain exposure across financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting while partnering with stakeholders across the wider business.

The Role

Reporting into a senior member of the finance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting monthly management reporting and analysis
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Variance analysis and commentary
• Building and maintaining financial models
• Supporting business cases and commercial analysis
• Preparing dashboards and management information
• Partnering with operational stakeholders
• Identifying trends, risks and opportunities within financial performance
• Supporting process and reporting improvements
• Assisting with ad hoc commercial projects

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong grounding in accounting who wants to develop further within commercial finance.

You'll ideally have:

• CA / CPA qualification, or be working towards completion
• Big 4 or mid-tier audit experience, with first movers strongly encouraged to apply
• Alternatively, 1–3 years' experience within a commercial finance environment
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• A good understanding of financial statements and accounting fundamentals
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with non-finance stakeholders
• A genuine desire to move beyond reporting the numbers and understand what's driving business performance
