Weekly Working Hours: 40 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Prepares and/or consolidates required and requested financial reports utilizing various application and PC systems. 2. Acts as the primary contact and technical resource for assigned area of financial analysis. 3. Assists with special projects and the preparation of financial plans. 4. Maintains the integrity of assigned financial data bases. Maintains and upgrades current PC based applications. Provides programming support as required. 5. Recognizes, researches and resolves discrepancies in financial data. Marginal Functions: 6. Performs additional job-related duties which may include generating ad hoc reports, analyzing specific capital proposals, and providing support for various company projects. Requirements 1-2 years’ financial analysis work experience, preferably within a financial institution. Successful completion of college level coursework in financial analysis and accounting required. Bachelor's degree in either field a plus. Incumbent must be PC proficient and have in-depth working knowledge of spreadsheet software and data management systems. Working knowledge of SIMMS or similar mainframe/PC interface software a plus. Excellent analytical organization, oral and written communication skills required. Physical Demands: Sitting for extended periods of time utilizing computer keyboard to input data and check reports. Mental Demands: Analyze and evaluate data, questions and requests received from clients. Prioritize multiple projects to ensure all users' needs are met within required time frames. Ensure all generated mathematical calculations are accurate. Read and interpret and apply regulatory guidelines and internal policies and procedures. Equipment Used to Perform Functions: Telephone, PC, printer, calculator, 10-key adding machine. Decision Making: Recommend changes to current procedures, reports and software programs to provide more timely and useful information. Identify errors and ways to prevent re-occurrence. Determine best format to use to present data. Categorize financial transactions to properly report transactions. Responsibilities
