JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our growing team and ensure the accuracy of financial data, compliance with accounting standards, and excellence in reporting. In this role, you will support the Financial Controller by examining and analyzing account records, preparing and consolidating financial statements, and implementing internal controls to uphold best practices. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the organization’s financial integrity while leveraging your analytical expertise to drive decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a diverse range of accounting functions
  • Degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field
  • CPA certification or actively pursing is considered an asset
  • Advanced general ledger accounting experience
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams across global offices and time zones
  • Comfortable communicating with high-level executives and owners
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
  • Strong expertise in using accounting systems (ex: QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office 365
  • Highly organized and self-disciplined; ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage expectations
  • A data-driven, analytical thinker with a creative and strategic mindset
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating a balanced combination of IQ and EQ
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; highly self-motivated and committed to process improvements

Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing and consolidating GAAP financial statements, researching accounting issues to ensure compliance and summarizing the organization’s financial status
  • Managing accounting, auditing, budgeting/forecasting, and all general ledger activities in collaboration with the finance team
  • Ensuring compliance with international accounting standards through research and adherence to best practices
  • Supporting corporate secretary responsibilities and global financial administration processes
  • Providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses; considering and forming ad hoc financial reports
  • Drawing up numerous procedures, policies, and technical accounting analyses; establishing and maintaining internal controls
  • Maintaining implementation and insuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures
  • Supporting the finance team during the closing process to confirm deadlines are met; supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting transactions
  • Distinguishing and evolving process improvements to streamline reporting and improving team efficiency
  • Establishing relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics, such as key financial metrics and actual spend against budgets/outlook; analyzing and reporting cost variances
  • Preparing and coordinating fiscal year-end review
  • Serving as a liaison to our external accounting firm
  • Filling in the for the Financial Controller where applicable
  • Other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as required
