Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Junior Accountant will provide service to both external customers and also support internal management. The Junior Accountant will assist in all accounting policies, procedures and processes.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Assist with daily operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and Cash Application
  • Assist with the General Ledger and all supporting sub ledgers, including fixed assets, inventories, prepaids and accruals.
  • Process corporate credit card statements and expense reports.
  • Assist in month end process by preparing various account reconciliations.
  • Support the Controller in providing monthly financial reporting and analysis to management.
  • Support the Controller in providing analytical reports as part of the monthly reporting package.
  • Assist with product pricing analysis and reporting.
  • Regular account reconciliation and preparation of journal entries.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts and report actuals against forecasts.
    · Assist in process and control systems development.

· Assist in coordinating and participating in physical inventory counts; investigate variances as needed and prepare adjusting entries.

  • Ad hoc accounting activities
  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the office.
  • Support the Sales team in providing sales reports and metrics.

· Support in preparing and presenting clear and concise financial reports, dashboards, and to internal stakeholders.
