About the role We are seeking a culturally grounded and community-focused Financial Capability Facilitator to lead and deliver our Tupe Wise Financial Capability programmes across the Auckland region. In this role, you will coordinate, facilitate, and promote programmes designed to strengthen the financial literacy, capability, and long-term wellbeing of Pacific families/aiga. This includes supporting learners in areas such as budgeting, debt management, long-term planning, and creating pathways toward goals like home ownership. You will excel at engaging with Pacific communities through culturally relevant teaching, learning, and coaching approaches, ensuring a supportive and empowering learning environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver and facilitate Tupe Wise Financial Capability programmes to Pacific individuals and families. Use culturally responsive and effective teaching and coaching strategies to ensure strong learner engagement. Work collaboratively with other Vaka Tautua service teams to connect learners with wrap-around wellbeing supports. Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with Pacific communities, stakeholders, providers, and agencies across the region. Support programme coordination, including scheduling, participant engagement, reporting, and continuous improvement activities. About you Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of a Pacific culture with the ability to translate this across the wider Pacific community. Ability to connect and maintain positive relationships in the community. Experience in supporting people to build their financial capability. Experience in group facilitation and programme delivery to diverse learners Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Satisfied all necessary requirements for working with vulnerable children and adults including requirements in relation to police vetting. Fully conversant with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. A current full NZ Drivers Licence.
