ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of related financial or administrative experience, preferably in an educational, research, or public-sector environment.
  • Experience monitoring, recording, reconciling and/or reporting on accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to process financial transactions with accuracy, as well as theability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines in afast-paced environment.Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound judgement, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).

Responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Processing expense reimbursements
  • Processing accounts payable according to the University Guide to Financial Management
  • Preparing and/or processing journal entries
  • Recording detailed transactions for many accounts
  • Coding financial information for processing in FIS
  • Reconciling purchasing card statements
  • Applying the University Guide to Financial Management and other applicable policies, agency and regulatory requirements
