Description Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit affordable homeownership affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, partners with families and neighborhood residents to build homes and revitalize communities. Our service area includes the city of Atlanta and the cities and neighborhoods of South Fulton. Atlanta Habitat is seeking a Financial Coach to support our mission. Position Summary: The Financial Coach is responsible for providing individualized, pre-purchase financial coaching to prospective homeowners participating in Atlanta Habitat for Humanity programs and My Money. My Future. program participants. The Financial Coach helps participants strengthen their financial stability through budgeting, credit building, debt management, goal setting, and savings strategies, supporting them in preparing for successful homeownership. Duties/Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one pre-purchase financial coaching to participants, focusing on budgeting, credit building, debt management, financial goal setting, and saving. • Monitor participant progress and eligibility for the My Money. My Future (MMMF) savings match program. • Provide home purchase readiness and delinquency prevention coaching, as requested. • Maintain detailed and accurate participant records and progress updates in Salesforce and other required databases. • Support the collection, tracking, and reporting of participant data to ensure compliance with program goals and standards. • Collaborate with the Financial Coach Manager and Homeowner Services team to identify participant needs and enhance coaching effectiveness. • Participate in virtual team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as needed. Requirements • Strong knowledge of financial literacy, including budgeting, credit management, debt reduction, and savings strategies. • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills. • Proven ability to meet deadlines, maintain accuracy, and manage multiple priorities effectively. • Comfortable working with diverse populations and providing financial education in both one-on-one and group settings. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Salesforce experience preferred; strong database management skills required. • Knowledge of homeownership, home maintenance, and community development issues preferred. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus. • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote work environment while maintaining strong communication and accountability. Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include finance, education, counseling, or social work. • Professional background in financial education is strongly preferred. • Experience • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in financial counseling, coaching, or social work. • Experience working with low-income and underserved populations preferred. • Experience delivering financial education or literacy instruction is strongly preferred.
