Description
Nexus Analytica is seeking a Financial Consultant to support the delivery of consulting assignments related to renewable energy finance, financial modelling, tariff analysis, techno-economic assessment, transaction support, and project-related commercial evaluation. This role is best suited for a candidate who can connect financial modelling with project realities, including CAPEX, OPEX, energy yield, tariff design, risk allocation, and contractual structures. The selected candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to provide robust financial analysis and decision support across energy transition and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of consulting projects related to energy finance, project valuation, and commercial advisory. Develop and review financial models for renewable energy projects, including solar PV, wind, BESS, and hybrid systems. Conduct tariff analysis, PPA pricing assessments, and scenario and sensitivity analysis. Evaluate key project finance parameters such as CAPEX, OPEX, WACC, ROE, energy yield assumptions, and commercial risk allocation. Support the review of commercial terms in PPAs, project agreements, and investment structures. Contribute to techno-economic assessments and help translate technical assumptions into financial outcomes. Prepare reports, presentations, financial notes, and client deliverables. Support capacity-building activities, training sessions, and workshops for clients and stakeholders. Coordinate with project managers, technical consultants, legal/regulatory experts, and client teams. Contribute to proposals, technical offers, and business development activities related to energy finance and project advisory. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Energy Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in financial consulting, project finance, infrastructure advisory, energy economics, or renewable energy transactions. Good understanding of financial modelling, valuation, and commercial analysis. Familiarity with renewable energy projects, PPAs, tariff structures, or infrastructure investment models. Strong analytical, Excel, report-writing, and presentation skills. Strong written and spoken English. Arabic is an advantage. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in a relevant field. Experience with renewable energy project finance, tariff design, or PPA negotiations. Familiarity with project finance concepts such as debt structuring, bankability, discounting, risk allocation, and investor returns. Experience working with scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and benchmarking. Familiarity with Excel, Python, or other analytical tools. Experience working on projects in Egypt, MENA, or Africa is an advantage.
