Job Description As the Financial Control Team Leader, you will act as the 2IC to the Senior Manager Group Finance and play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the NRMA Group’s financial statements, general ledgers, and reconciliations. Your key responsibilities will include: Assist in prioritising and coordinating the activities of the Financial Control team Manage timelines for internal and external reporting, including Board updates, management committees, audits and disclosures Interpret new accounting standards and regulatory requirements, assess their impact and recommend policy changes Assist with the preparation of monthly reporting, statutory accounts and external disclosures Oversee the month-end Group Timetable and monitor achievement of deadlines across the Group Manage the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process Provide ongoing financial accounting support and evidence-informed analysis to stakeholders Support projects with accounting treatment advice and remain up to date with changes in accounting standards What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline Post-graduate professional accreditation (CA or CPA Australia) Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a medium to large organisation Experience managing a small team Advanced stakeholder management and coordination skills Strong technical knowledge of Australian International Financial Reporting Standards Advanced Excel skills Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines What's in it for you? Responsibilities
