Description

AgriHub Inc., holds ownership of Western Canada’s premier agricultural equipment and supply companies. Operating in British Columbia to Ontario, AgriHub provides shared services such as Human Resources, Marketing, Finance and Information Technology to our operating companies.
We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our team. Based primarily in the Blumenort/Steinbach area, the Financial Controller will assist with the planning, implementation and control of the financial reporting and internal control activities of the division(s) within their portfolio. They will work closely with the local and corporate finance teams, as well as the General Managers of the divisions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Designated CPA or working towards completion within the next two years.
  • Two years’ prior relevant experience in a divisional controller environment or in public practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate to advanced Excel.
  • Familiarity with the following software packages would be an asset:
    Microsoft GP
    Signature (Key2Act) Job Cost

Vivid Reports (Excel based reporting tool)

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and facilitating the monthly financial close process for the division(s)
  • Leading in the identification and design of divisional reports to help management in the decision-making process, providing accurate reporting
  • Assisting in the interpretation of financial information and providing advice in the decision-making process
  • Identification of process improvement opportunities within the divisions
  • Leading a team of divisional analysts and/or accounting technicians
  • Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget
  • Working closely with management in the annual budgeting process
