  • Proven experience in a similar Financial Controller or senior finance role, ideally in medical device business.
  • Professional qualifications (CA/CPA or equivalent) – essential.
  • Solid finance experience across management accounting, financial/Board reporting, budgeting/forecasting, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Excellent technical (USGAAP & AASB) and analytical skills.
  • Ability to be hands on and drive finance team capability.
  • Previous experience in cash flow forecasting, profitability improvement, and financial business strategy.
  • Process improvement and change management skills.

At CooperSurgical – Australia we are currently looking to recruit a Finance Controller for the Australian & New Zealand market. You will be part of the greater APAC finance team and support the local finance team placed in Heatherton and Sydney. You will report to the APAC Finance Director. This position is placed in Heatherton, VIC Australia, and some travel will be required.
Location: Heatherton, Melbourne - Onsite

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for end-to-end Financial and accounting activities
  • Manage compliance with statutory requirements including BAS, payroll tax, annual audit and AUS/NZ tax.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls, governance frameworks, and compliance systems.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align financial strategy with business objectives
