As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Financial Controller to join our finance team. This role is essential for ensuring that our financial operations are aligned with our strategic goals and supports our vision for scaling and profitability. ABOUT THE ROLE The Financial Controller will oversee our accounting functions and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. You will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining financial records, and developing strategies that align with our corporate objectives. Your leadership will guide a team in delivering accurate financial data and insights that drive decision-making processes within the company. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage payroll for all companies in the group – review, approve payroll reports, initiate payments in bank, ensure compliance obligations are met Manage Accounts Payable – review and approve invoices, prepare payable for weekly review with the CEO and CFO, automate payments processing Manage banking – assist with establishing best practices for cash management, manage bank reconciliations, maintain internal controls and prepare rolling cash forecast Manage month end close within the agreed timeline Manage the General ledger and ensure transactions are recorded in line with the agreed Accounts and P&L structure Manage tax compliance and filings in collaboration with external tax consultants Manage intercompany transactions and assist with transfer pricing setup and updates Manage the preparation and review of monthly Balance sheet reconciliations Prepare monthly consolidated accounts for the Group in Syft Manage statutory audit for the company and ensure the company’s accounts are audit ready Assist with the implementation of new software and tools for automation and optimization of accounting and finance processes ABOUT YOU At least 2 years in a similar role CA or CPA qualification Extensive experience with payroll management and knowledge of payroll regulations is essential Knowledge of tax regulations in Australia, Singapore, UK and the USA is desirable Proven experience with process automation, systems implementation and successful process improvement initiatives Experience working in multinational companies is essential Experience in SaaS or tech business environment is an advantage You will be part of a smart, friendly team and have additional benefits including: Flexible working 20 days annual leave + public holidays 1 day of birthday leave per year Up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave All applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
