JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead and manage all financial operations within our casino. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements, and delivering timely financial reporting. The Controller also plays a strategic role in supporting executive decision-making, improving operational efficiency, and driving the overall financial success of the property.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Must be able to be approved and maintain licensure as required by Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

· 2-4 years of controllership experience, preferably in casino operations.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

· Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Interviews and selects candidates for hire to the Finance team at Happy Valley Casino.
· Supervises accounting and finance staff. Support staff development and maintain a high-performance culture.
· Works closely with executive leadership to support strategic planning.

· Advise on the financial implications of new projects or initiatives.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain a strong internal control system to safeguard Happy Valley Casino assets.

· Assist in the budgeting process across all Happy Valley Casino departments, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses.

  • Ensure all policies, procedures and practices are consistently followed and comply with Happy Valley Casino’s service standards, brand attributes, policies, collective bargaining agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to gaming regulations and financial laws.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors as well as the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
