Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Financial Controller, you will lead our Finance team to deliver accurate, compliant, and timely financial information. Reporting to the General Manager Finance Operations, you’ll play a pivotal role in protecting our group’s balance sheet, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements. You’ll manage a team across Sydney and Wellington, collaborating with senior stakeholders and contributing to the delivery of our finance strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage month-end close and year-end audit processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of statutory and regulatory returns (income tax, FBT, GST, financial statements).
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Financial Control team.
  • Oversee and enhance financial systems, controls, and reconciliations.
  • Support external audits and implement technical accounting changes.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and support cross-functional initiatives.
