Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Financial Controller at ClearVC, you will be pivotal in managing the financial operations of our organisation, driving compliance, efficiency, and strategic financial planning. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management while leading and inspiring a small finance and operations team.
Your financial acumen and leadership will help shape ClearVC’s continued growth, ensuring robust financial health, sound decision-making, and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all day-to-day financial operations, including billing, accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, payroll, cost and inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, debt, and collections to ensure ongoing financial stability
  • Oversee and optimise financial systems, accounting software, and internal controls to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Lead the preparation of timely and accurate monthly and annual financial reports, providing meaningful insights and forecasts to senior leadership
  • Document and maintain clear financial policies, procedures, and business processes to support compliance and best practice
  • Drive the budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements across the business
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to inform strategic decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
  • Lead, support, and develop a high-performing finance and operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Act proactively to anticipate organisational financial needs, considering the broader commercial landscape
