Description

We are seeking a Controller to lead all aspects of our financial management, with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP). This role blends the rigor of accounting and compliance with the strategy needed to scale a specialized pharmacy business. You’ll ensure our financial health by managing daily transactions, optimizing cash flow, and supporting leadership with clear and actionable financial insights.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or senior accounting professional.
  • Hands-on expertise managing AR and AP at scale.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Experience with inventory, cost accounting, or pharmacy/veterinary industries (preferred).
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • AR & AP Oversight: Own and streamline all billing, collections, vendor payments, and credit management processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Financial Reporting: Lead month-end and year-end closes, reconcile accounts, and produce accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Cash Flow & Forecasting: Monitor daily cash flow, anticipate cash needs, and support purchasing and inventory planning.
  • Cost & Margin Analysis: Track inventory costs and compounding expenses to ensure profitability and identify savings opportunities.
  • Compliance: Maintain adherence to GAAP, tax obligations, and regulations relevant to pharmacies and healthcare businesses.
  • Process Improvement: Implement systems and workflows to make AR/AP and general accounting more efficient and transparent.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with operations, sales, and leadership to provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Vendor & Client Relationships: Serve as the financial point of contact for vendors, suppliers, and clients, ensuring smooth transactions and professional communication.
