Join the ECMS Team: Financial Controller Lead with purpose and shape the future with ECMS ECMS is a for-purpose, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to fostering lifelong learning for Victoria’s children, families and communities. We’re seeking an experienced and values-led Financial Controller to lead our finance function and support the long-term sustainability of ECMS. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting and meaningful financial insights that support informed decision-making across the organisation. What will you do? - Lead, coach and develop a high-performing finance team across accounting, AP and AR. - Own the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting, including month-end, year-end and statutory reporting. - Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with AASB, ACNC and other regulatory requirements. - Manage the end-to-end external audit process and act as the primary liaison with auditors and regulators. - Provide high-quality financial insights and advice to the CFO, Executive and Finance Risk & Compliance Committee. - Oversee cash flow, treasury, investments and banking relationships, ensuring liquidity and effective working capital management. - Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes and data quality. More about you - CA or CPA qualified with extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles. - Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, controls, compliance and audit management. - A people-first leader who enjoys coaching, developing and leading teams through change. - Excellent commercial acumen and ability to translate complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders. - Experience in the not-for-profit, education or early years sector (or Big 4 background) is highly regarded. - Willing to obtain a Police Check and Working with Children Check.
