Role Overview The position will provide financial accounting support to ESR Management Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., ensuring accurate and timely reporting of monthly/quarterly/annual financial results and ensure internal controls are in line with corporate governance best practices. Performance Measure Professionalism in all aspects of the work in written, verbal manner and in demeanour Ensure accurate and timely monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting Ensure smooth running of the finance operations Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and statutory requirements Good level of working relationship with the finance team and overall team Good level of support provided to the Head of Finance Key Responsibilities include but not limit to: Responsible for the full spectrum of financial accounting and compliance function for both the Corporate and Fund entities Responsible for the consolidated monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements within stipulated deadlines and to maintain accurate accounting records Responsible for statistical or regulatory reporting to government organisations Responsible for the financial and operating budgets and forecasts Preparation of the cashflow balances and forecast Ensure income distributions are done accurately and in a timely manner Responsible for SST, withholding tax, FATCA, CRS, tax returns and ensure submission in a timely manner Prompt review of the development project costing schedules Assist with review of tax structure reports, financial and tax due diligence reports and related works on M&A deals Manage, monitor and proper accounting of onshore and offshore loans and hedging arrangements Ensure Transfer Pricing documentation are put in place for related party transactions Ensure strict compliance with all accounting standards, tax, statutory, regulatory, legislative requirements and legal obligations (such as Limited Partnership Agreements) of the Malaysia fund Manage a team of finance personnel in future Manage internal audits within the Group Administrator role for the bank accounts within the Group Develop SOP and internal controls and ensure they are put in place across ESR Malaysia Liaise with both internal and external parties including Group, investors, bankers, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries and regulators Assist Head of Business Development in acquisition deals and smooth closing of transactions Assist Funds Management and Finance team to obtain bank/debt financing for projects in Malaysia and ensure bank covenants are complied with Degree in accountancy or equivalent with minimum 8 years of accounting experience Excellent time management to be able to meet tight deadlines Ability to work independently and within a team environment Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to use initiative, work without supervision and assume full responsibility for completion of tasks Proactive and willing to look for ways to improve processes and procedures Highly flexible and adaptable in a changing and demanding environment
