About the Role We are looking for an experienced and commercially savvy Financial Controller to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This is a key leadership role responsible for high-level financial reporting and analysis, cashflow management, taxation compliance, and strategic planning across our Australian appliance distribution business. You will act as a trusted business partner to senior leaders, driving financial performance, reducing non-value-adding costs, and optimising return on investment. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end financial accounting, taxation, and compliance for the Australian business Drive the monthly financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness Manage cashflow forecasting and cash management, including USD forecasting with Group Treasury Oversee GST, FBT, and Income Tax returns, Transfer Pricing, and all local taxation matters Lead and manage the annual financial audit and maintain strong relationships with external auditors Provide financial insights and business partnering to support strategic decision-making Manage Accounts Payable processes, ensuring robust internal controls and efficient vendor management Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6 direct reports (5 Financial Accountants & 1 AP Supervisor) So who are you? Experience & Qualifications 7–10+ years' experience in a similar financial leadership capacity Commercial accounting experience within a corporate head office or multinational environment Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or similar CA qualified or equivalent Skills & Competencies Strong financial analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data Proven expertise in strategic forecasting, budgeting, and cost control Systems experience with JDE, Cognos (or similar BI tools), and advanced Excel Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills Demonstrated people leadership and coaching capability Why Join Fisher & Paykel?
