Position Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Controller to oversee and strengthen the financial operations of our company. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a passion for accuracy, optimization, and big-picture thinking in a product-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Manage all aspects of full-cycle accounting including journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month/year-end close.
- Inventory Procurement: Lead and authorize all large-scale inventory purchases with suppliers, negotiating contracts and maintaining optimal stock levels.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Banking Operations: Oversee daily banking tasks including deposits, transfers, cash flow monitoring, and banking relationship management.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop budgets, analyze variances, and provide financial forecasts to guide strategic decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Provide accurate and timely financial statements and reports to the owner/executive team.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure adherence to all relevant tax, legal, and regulatory guidelines. Support external audits when necessary.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation or equivalent is strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior accounting or financial controller role
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or home improvement product industries is a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High level of integrity and discretion
