We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Operational Controller to lead financial operations and optimize cross-border processes. This high-impact, in-office role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys navigating the complexities of multinational financial operations.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Operational Controller is responsible for overseeing full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and cross-border operations across Canadian and U.S. locations. This role plays a critical part in budgeting, strategic decision-making, and ensuring operational efficiency through strong leadership and process improvement. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and collaborate with teams across departments and borders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent designation preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of accounting and finance experience at a senior level, including leadership in a Canada-U.S. cross-border environment.
  • Deep understanding of Canadian and U.S. tax law, IFRS/ASPE/GAAP standards, and customs regulations.
  • Proven track record with CRA and IRS audits, CBSA compliance, and trade documentation.
  • Proficiency in SAP Business One and financial reporting tools such as Fathom or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in wholesale distribution, or consumer products preferred. In and out products

    Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
