We are seeking a Financial Controller, Group Accounting and reporting to join Etteplan Finance & Control team. This is a fixed-term position which is expected to last approximately 18 months, with an anticipated start date in August 2025.

Responsibilities

AS A FINANCIAL CONTROLLER, GROUP ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Participating in group accounting and reporting processes, including financial group consolidation and the preparation of group´s interim and annual financial statements.
  • Playing a central role in the group´s monthly reporting, quarterly reviews, and the production of essential financial reports and analytics.
  • Collaborating with the outsourced partner on transfer pricing documentation.
  • Managing and preparation of ESEF reporting and XBRL tagging requirements.
  • Performing in-depth monthly financial data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
    To sum up, you will ensure the accuracy of actual group reporting, perform result analysis, coordinate and monitor corrective actions, and prepare financial reports. You will participate to preparation of insightful presentations for the CFO; previous experience in this area is highly desirable.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, WE HOPE YOU HAVE

  • A suitable university degree (e.g., Bachelor’s in Business Administration or Master’s in Finance).
  • Relevant work experience (at least 3 years) in similar financial roles, such as controlling, group accounting, or group auditing.
  • Good general understanding of accounting standards and the ability to understand and manage complex financial concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills and genuine interest in process improvement and automation.
  • Systematic hands-on working style, an ability to work independently with constructive and positive approach to work.
  • Fluent interaction and communication skills in English and Finnish are essential for this role. Both languages are necessary for this position.
  • Strong skills in Excel with a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
    Above all, we are looking for a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn! This role can be effectively managed from Etteplan’s offices in Tampere, Lahti, or Espoo.
