Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of six, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information and providing expert financial advice across the business. Foster a high-performing finance team through ongoing development and support. Oversee the preparation and submission of weekly, monthly, and statutory financial reports. Manage the audit process and liaising with other external personnel where required. Support the annual budgeting process and contribute to the development of strategic plans. Maintain strong financial controls throughout all areas of the organisation to safeguard financial integrity. Promote best practice and build collaborative relationships within the wider Halma group. Partner with operational and functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency. Identify and analyse key business drivers to support growth and performance. Explore opportunities to enhance business systems through new technologies and data analytics. Relevant Experience Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment Proven track record in financial management and control Experience leading and developing a finance team Background in preparing budgets and strategic plans Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and efficiency Education and Training Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP Commitment to continuous professional development Skills, abilities and specialist knowledge Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and proactive attitude Commercial awareness and strategic thinking Analytical mindset with the ability to challenge and interpret financial data High level of integrity and attention to detail Proficient in using financial systems and data analytics tools Open-minded, curious, and adaptable to change Collaborative approach, able to build relationships across teams and with external stakeholders Strong organisational and time management skills If you're excited by this opportunity, we'd love to hear from you!
