REQUIREMENTS

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with ample post-qualified experience and a strong foundation in group consolidation, month-end close, and technical reporting.
  • Team leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing, coaching, and developing finance teams through periods of change and process improvement.
  • Background in fast-paced, multi-entity environment, ideally PE-backed or within the retail sector, where adaptability and hands-on involvement are key.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence at a senior level; experience with SAP FC or similar reporting systems is highly desirable.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Financial Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role at the heart of Idverde’s UK finance function. Leading a team of 7 talented professionals, you’ll take ownership of financial control and group reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insight at every stage. This is more than just a reporting role, you’ll work closely with senior leadership to shape strategic decisions through robust consolidation, detailed balance sheet reviews, and proactive cash flow management.
As idverde continues to grow through acquisitions, you’ll also lead on integrating new entities, optimising processes, and creating a best-in-class finance environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of 7, including 3 Financial Accountants and 3 Assistant Financial Accountants, and provide coaching and development to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Oversee monthly group consolidation, ensuring UK financials are finalised by Day 5 and reporting to the group by Day 8, with a focus on balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in financial operations and reporting to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide strategic insights and detailed analysis to senior leadership on financial performance and reporting, including balance sheet reviews and cash flow management.
  • Support the integration of acquisitions, ensuring seamless consolidation of financial data across the group.
