POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Controller plays a key leadership role overseeing the financial operations of the Canadian division, which includes both distribution and manufacturing activities. This role is responsible for financial reporting, regulatory compliance, cash and cost control, international trade finance, and operational support. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial management experience with a working knowledge of import/export processes and manufacturing cost structures.

REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor’s degree (accounting or business-related) and relevant professional qualification, such as CPA (K), CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, engineering, or distribution related industries.
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and local accounting standards.
• Preparation of financial statements under a variety of accounting standards.
• Power-user of Microsoft Office applications and cloud-based ERP systems.
• Preparation of or audit of consolidated accounts and associated journals.
• Experience leading system implementation projects.
• Effective communicator of financial data. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.
