The role  

As Financial Controller, you are responsible for the entire accounting of STËLZ and for the Finance operation as a whole. You report monthly to management and take the lead in the statutory annual financial statement audit, serving as the primary point of contact for the external auditor.

Budgeting and forecasting are the responsibility of the business controller; your focus is on accounting, financial control, and the annual accounts. Additionally, you lead colleagues in the finance team and ensure that this team functions well, continues to develop, and that your input is valued. In this fast-growing organization, you are the one who identifies risks and opportunities for improvement for the finance team.

You work with Exact Online and Moss on a daily basis, and you liaise regularly with management, the various entities, and external parties.

What you are going to do

Responsible for the complete accounting within STELZ and the entities linked to STELZ

Preparing and analyzing monthly and annual reports

Responsible for the Finance Operations within TELZ and the entities linked to TELZ

Leading colleagues in the finance team, including coaching, directing, and further developing the team.

Monitoring and improving internal controls, processes, and procedures within finance

Identifying financial risks and contributing to the development of control measures

Point of contact for management and external auditors regarding financial control

Translating financial data into clear insights and advice for management

Contribute to the further professionalization and more efficient organization of the finance department

Leading the statutory annual financial statement audit, as the primary point of contact for the external auditor.

Requirements

Who you are

• You have completed a degree in Accountancy, Finance & Control, Business Economics, or a similar field. A Registered Accountant (RA) is a plus.
• You have at least 8 to 9 years of work experience in finance.
• Experience in auditing is preferred, combined with experience from the business world.
• You have knowledge of both Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
• Ideally, you already have experience managing or coaching a team.
• You are analytically strong, accurate, and possess good financial and technical insight.
• You are a natural leader with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• You are good at switching between the strategic level and operational details.
• Experience with Exact Online and/or Moss is a plus.
• You are available full-time on short notice.
