QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years in financial leadership
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and active CPA required; Master’s preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (QuickBooks or similar)
  • Excellent communicator with strong leadership skills
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to Lubbock, TX
  • Healthcare experience preferred
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re seeking a strategic Financial Controller to serve as a key financial leader and drive our overall financial strategy. This role is responsible for ensuring long-term sustainability, enabling scalable growth, and leading the charge in overseeing and strengthening our financial operations. You’ll oversee financial planning, cash flow management, forecasting, and risk mitigation while providing clear, data-driven insights to guide executive decision-making.
As a critical member of our leadership team, you’ll play a vital role in shaping strategic direction, driving growth and results, and ensuring financial discipline. This position leads talent development within the finance function, manages and develops our accounting team, and implements systems that support a high-performance culture while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accountability at every level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Leadership: Advise leadership, align finance with business goals, and deliver strategic insights
  • Team Development: Lead and grow the accounting team; shift reporting to a proactive monthly/quarterly cadence
  • Cash Management: Oversee cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Operations Oversight: Manage accounting functions (A/R, journal entries, inventory, depreciation) and reporting
  • Compliance & Risk: Ensure regulatory compliance, maintain internal controls, and manage financial risk
