JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and accounting, with proficiency in various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health of our organisation and will involve managing accounts payable, preparing financial statements, reconciliation of commission & income and providing strategic guidance to senior management. Candidate must have (ACCA Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a relevant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous but not essential. Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Manage accounts payable processes to ensure timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
  • Implement and maintain effective financial controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against targets.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation of tax returns.
  • Lead the finance team, providing mentorship and support to enhance their professional development.
