POSITION SUMMARY  The Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting at Sunbelt Home Solutions. This role owns the company’s financial operating system—maintaining clean books, strong controls, and clear financial visibility—while providing actionable insights to support leadership decisions and company growth.   This is a hands-on role that blends execution (accounting) with strategy (forecasting and financial clarity), reporting directly to executive leadership.    ABOUT SUNBELT HOME SOLUTIONS  Our mission is to improve the hurricane protection and energy efficiency of 100,000 homes in the Florida peninsula. We are on a path to 10X our business over the next 10 years.  SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE  Delivering accurate, GAAP-compliant financials by the 10th of each month  Providing clear financial insights to leadership for decision-making  Maintaining strong cash flow visibility and forecasting  Building scalable financial systems to support growth  Creating accountability and structure within the accounting function  OBJECTIVES  Own and execute the monthly close process  Produce weekly and monthly financial dashboards (revenue, margins, profitability)  Build and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts  Improve AR/AP processes and reduce aging  Maintain accurate job costing and financial reporting  Implement internal controls to protect company assets  Support leadership with financial modeling and decision analysis  COMPETENCIES  Strong financial and analytical thinking  Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights  High level of accountability and ownership  Process-driven with a focus on continuous improvement  Strong communication skills across departments  Ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  5–10+ years of accounting/finance experience  Experience owning full financials (Controller or similar role)  Construction or home improvement industry experience preferred  Strong QuickBooks expertise required  Advanced Excel skills (forecasting, modeling, analysis)  Leadership or team management experience preferred  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  Prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer  Ability to attend in-office meetings and collaborate with team members  COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY  As an equal opportunity employer committed to meeting the needs of a diverse workforce, Sunbelt Home Solutions recognizes that a diverse staff is an integral part of a successful business.
