We are seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations across Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. As the most senior finance leader in these countries, you will play a critical role in driving financial excellence, ensuring compliance, and supporting business performance. This role reports directly to the Regional Controller Europe and is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional looking to develop their career within a dynamic and truly global organization. Job Description As a Financial Controller, you will take on a variety of key responsibilities: Finance and Accounting Leadership Oversee preparation and review of monthly departmental P&Ls, quarterly and annual financial statements, and annual budgets. Partner with external advisors on statutory accounts and tax computations. Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all financial and tax reporting requirements, including VAT, payroll taxes and corporate income tax. Provide documentation and support for internal/external audits. Identify and lead cost‑reduction and efficiency initiatives. Contribute to financial strategy, business planning, and operational execution. Act as a business partner to district operations management, offering financial insights and expertise. Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. Compliance Ensure full adherence to statutory, fiscal, and regulatory requirements across the three countries. Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting. Champion a culture of compliance and ethical conduct. Communicate proactively with finance teams to ensure understanding of policies and regulatory changes. Qualifications Requirements A professionally qualified accountant (ACCA or CPA equivalent) is preferred, with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance. Proven experience as a Financial Controller. 10+ years’ broad finance and accounting experience. Deep knowledge of tax and regulatory requirements in Sweden; experience across the Nordics is advantageous. Fluent in English, proficiency in Swedish, Danish or Norwegian is a plus. Skills Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables). Working knowledge of Power BI. Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with both financial and non‑financial stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of driving change. Solid experience in compliance, tax and internal controls.
