Our client, a well-established company based in Clifford, ON, is currently seeking an experienced Part-Time Financial Controller (FC) to join their management team.
The FC will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial management, including overseeing accounting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic insights through financial analysis. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in identifying opportunities for growth, particularly through investment evaluation and effective working capital management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting directly to the Company CFO, the FC works closely with management to provide financial direction and support to the organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, audits, and financial statements.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller
  • 5+ years of comprehensive accounting and finance experience
  • Advanced degree in Accounting; CPA designation preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficient in the use and administration of accounting software
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively direct and supervise staff

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions
  • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data
  • Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies and procedures
  • Lead external audit processes and oversee financial reporting
  • Provide management with accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making
  • Evaluate current accounting operations, recommend improvements, and implement new processes
  • Ensure timely and consistent collection of receivables
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance
