ABOUT THE ROLE As a Financial Controller, you will: Maintain accurate and complete books and records for all financial transactions. Ensure timely and precise preparation and reporting of monthly and annual financial statements, along with all regulatory submissions. Develop and maintain best-practice documentation for accounting policies, standard operating procedures and technical papers supporting material transactions. Contribute to building robust financial control processes and strengthening the internal control framework. Collaborate with the Financial Reporting team and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with Group reporting policies, controls, and procedures. Partner with Global Finance business leaders and the Global FP&A team to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities. Work closely with the Global Treasury team on working capital, cash flow, and foreign exchange management for UK operations. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and outsourced accounting service providers. Provide regular updates to management and the Finance & Audit Committee on financial performance, risk management, controls, and taxation matters. Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting processes, operations, and systems. Oversee monthly ledger close activities, cost accounting, and accounts payable processes for UK operations. Collaborate with the project team on assigned workstreams for the implementation of the new SAP general ledger system.
