We are looking for a full time, dynamic and personable Finance Controller.
Who are you? First things first, you need to be passionate about numbers and finance. If I loved books, I would have been an accountant. This I am not.
Secondly, you love the idea of making a huge impact on our clients, trades, and coworkers.
Third, you have a proven history of working directly with or for entrepreneurs of small to medium-sized businesses. Wells is a busy company and because of this, you will be an integral part of our success.
Fourth, we need you to be the teller of the numbers story! You would be excited to be the bridge between the owner, the estimators, and accounting, with meaningful information in a way that we can easily understand and use. You love the tales that the numbers tell, and you are great at sharing those stories.
Fifth, you would have the ability to “hit it out of the park” when it comes to the books and you only provide an exceptional job outcome.
Sixth, you want and desire to collaborate with in-house teams and external clients. You are an exceptional communicator and relationship builder.
Seventh, you take pride in solving complex problems and you roll up your sleeves to get the job done!

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred

Experience:

• Construction accounting: 1 year (preferred)
• Accounting: 5 years (required

Bookkeeping: Full cycle bookkeeping including Payroll, A/P, A/R, deposits, bank reconciliations, government remittances, year-end preparation.
Experience in the construction industry is an asset but your required skills and abilities include:
- CA/CPA Designation not required but would be an Asset.
- QuickBooks expertise
- Microsoft365: Excel, Word, Outlook, Project; Windows 10
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented; accurate
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Takes initiative/does not require supervision
Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
