Job Description
We are seeking an experienced professional to contribute to the development of critical and high-impact financial and corporate communications materials for external and internal audiences, primarily the investment community, and C-Suite and Board-level executives.
This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include a combination of both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual work, to be based in either Los Angeles, CA or Dallas, TX.

Reporting to and working closely with the Associate Vice President of Financial, Corporate and Digital Communications, the Financial & Corporate Communications Manager, will play key role in supporting these campaigns. In particular, this role will aid in the development of AECOM’s financial communications narrative that is supported by substantive proof points, with the goal of maximizing the company’s visibility within the finance and business community, as well as current and potential employees and key clients.
The position requires an individual with exceptional critical thinking ability and the ability to closely collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engagement with the communications, marketing, finance, legal, HR and other operational groups. In addition, the role demands strong project management capabilities, a passion for learning, a strategic point of view that aligns with the goals of the business, and the ability to earn the confidence of respective colleagues and leadership.
Experience with investor relations, crisis communications and executive communications is required.
This is a high-visibility role that will provide a tremendous opportunity to engage with top-level leaders on the most important strategic initiatives and communications campaigns underway across the company.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS plus at least 6 years of relevant experience either at a communications agency or consultancy, or in an in-house corporate communications role or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong financial acumen with an understanding of and familiarity with financial markets, SEC filings, and the investment community.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience involving extensive work with complex spreadsheets.
  • Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy; willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives.
  • Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to relay financial data to a non-financial as well as primary financial audience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Consultative, service-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with senior level executives and stakeholders; strong team player.
  • Direct experience providing communications support for IRO or C-suite executives preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Communications and Investor Relations teams in the creation of press releases, earnings & other call scripts, conference presentations, Q&A sheets, meeting booklets, Board presentations, and messaging documents.
  • Develop both internal and external communications materials, presentations, speeches, and associated execution strategies.
  • Develop and create presentations used by C-suite executives, aligned with the overall communications strategy.
  • Regularly engage with key stakeholders across the organization to fully understand AECOM’s strategic priorities and business performance to ensure any communications materials are aligned with the current business environment.
  • Contribute to leadership communications to corporate audiences, as well as to broader AECOM organization.
  • Collaborate on media outreach strategies and plans to favorably position AECOM with business/financial outlets.
  • Identify adjacent communications opportunities to leverage existing materials and expertise by contributing to other, related communications campaigns or initiatives.
