The Financial Counselor I preregisters and conducts financial counseling and scheduling as needed and dictates by circumstances surrounding the financial security of patient accounts. This position works with, but not limited to, Insurance Verifiers, Schedulers, Registration staff and Ancillary Departments at a hospital as well as off-site. The Financial Counselor promotes coordination of care and patient satisfaction consistently within their role. The ability to compassionately engage in conversation with patients on their responsibilities for Copayment, Prepayment and Outstanding Balances.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred Associate’s Degree
• Required High School Diploma/GED
• 1 year Revenue Cycle Required
