Your Impact The Financial Hub Specialist is responsible for supporting members of Fountain House to gain skills, strategies and resources around finances. You will guide members through skill-building, individualized support and coordinating with others at Fountain House as the members navigate budgeting, banking, benefits, financial planning and long-term wealth development. This position will require developing a knowledge and aptitude with the Fountain House model of social practice and utilize skills such as social design and engagement to support the development of efficacy and a higher quality of life in people who historically are denied financial opportunities. Full-time on-site in our Hell's Kitchen Clubhouse Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm $30.58 to $33.65 per hour Requirements Your Impact Continued Responsible for the day-to-day organizing of the Financial Hub: facilitating meetings where members can get involved in the work, making schedules for the member bank, triaging to the correct person for people in need, and generally bottom lining the responsibility for the hub being open and working properly. Provides one-on-one support around budgeting, financial planning, special needs trusts, pooled income trusts, taxes, and benefits. Works with members to develop budgets that help them to maximize their quality of life and pursue their goals. Utilizes financial support as a tool of social practice, with the goal of increasing efficacy and quality of life. Develops curriculum with members of Fountain House around financial literacy, budgeting, avoiding scams, etc. Supports members of Fountain House to teach these courses. Maintains accurate financial documentation and records, including tracking member budgets, trust disbursements, and Excel sheets that track balances in Fountain House bank accounts that relate to member support.
