What you'll do: Financial Manager (Grants) — Ohio Grants Partnership, OBM Drive Ohio’s grant strategy and advance our mission: maximizing the value of grant funding through accountability, transparency, collaboration, fiscal integrity, and innovation. As the Grants Partnership Financial Manager, you’ll lead statewide strategy for grants management—setting policy, building partnerships, and ensuring Ohio optimizes every dollar to achieve the greatest impact. This is your opportunity to shape governance and deliver results that matter for communities across Ohio. Why this role matters Lead & develop a high‑performing grants team—coach, train, and evaluate staff; set section goals; and approve work products that keep Ohio’s grants portfolio running smoothly. Set policy & practice—help craft OBM and enterprise‑wide procedures; interpret state and federal rules, legislation, and guidance; and advise on statewide impacts. Be Ohio’s grants SME—stay current on federal changes, build knowledge of agency programs and allocations, and drive efficiency initiatives across the enterprise. Partner across Ohio—coordinate with agencies on funding opportunities, track federal grant activity, and represent OBM and the State to federal, state, local, and association partners. Support signature initiatives—from the Enterprise Grants Forum to outreach like the Ohio Grants Summit and Ohio Connects, you’ll help deliver training, resources, and communications. Strengthen oversight—develop and manage processes such as subrecipient monitoring; provide technical assistance; and supervise staff conducting monitoring and related activities. Minimum Qualifications: 66 mos. exp. or 66 mos. trg. financial administration. -Or completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 42 mos. exp. or 42 mos. trg. in financial administration. -Or completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in financial administration. -Or 12 mos. exp. as Financial Program Manager, 66585. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
