FINANCIAL OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE – MCRC, ERIE, PA

Are you ready to bring your financial skills to a role that truly makes a difference? The Multicultural Community Resource Center (MCRC) is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and community-minded Financial Operations Associate to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is eager to be challenged, and wants their work to support something bigger — the empowerment of immigrant and refugee families across our region.
As the Financial Operations Associate, you will serve as the primary financial record-keeper for the organization and play a critical role in supporting internal operations, program funding, and agency-wide financial health. You’ll report directly to MCRC’s Controller and collaborate with departments across the agency.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a key support to the Controller in managing day-to-day financial operations
  • Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis
  • Record, code, and enter financial transactions in the general ledger
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Prepare, print, and distribute checks; handle deposits and bank transfers
  • Assist with processing payroll and tracking employee leave balances
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate and efficient accounting processes
  • Generate internal financial statements and assist with grant-related reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial data using spreadsheets and reporting tools
  • Maintain financial databases and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines
  • Communicate with vendors and business partners regarding billing and payments
  • Uphold confidentiality and data integrity across all financial systems
  • Support special projects and assist with other finance-related tasks as needed
