Description

We’re seeking an experienced and driven Financial Operations Team Leader to lead our day-to-day finance operations while supporting a wider range of team and business initiatives. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to take ownership across the Finance team

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Must be at least AAT 2 qualified, and working towards AAT 3/4
  • Proven experience in a similar finance line management role, ideally within a fast-paced, growth-oriented business
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial controls
  • Confident with data analysis tools (mainly excel)
  • Comfort working with ERP systems (business uses Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of building strong relationships across all business levels
  • Ambitious, detail-oriented, and proactive with a passion for delivering improvement and driving value
  • Personable manager who has an eye for detail

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in supporting ERP implementations or finance system upgrades
Responsibilities
  • Direct management/responsibility of Finance Operations Team – currently covering Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger functions
  • Supervise and Mentor Finance Team – Delegate tasks and monitor workload and manage performance
  • Promote Financial Best Practice and lead by example. Looking at ways to continuously improve
  • Lead Credit Control – Focus on building client relationships and reducing DSO days.
  • Partner closely with the CFO and Head of Finance to develop financial insights
  • Support value creation projects, such as process improvements and system upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
