Purpose of the Role: Empower private clients to make confident, informed financial decisions by providing high‑quality financial planning and wealth management advice. You’ll play a key role in shaping long‑term client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of our Financial Planning offering. Key Responsibilities: Apply the full range of skills expected of an experienced Financial Planner to deliver exceptional client outcomes. Build and nurture a diverse client base through external professional networks (e.g., solicitors, accountants), internal collaboration with Investment Managers, and personal relationship‑building. Share knowledge openly and work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm. Mentor and support team members in their professional development, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive. Contribute to the ongoing development and evolution of financial planning within the firm. Uphold and promote the ethos, culture, and values of Raymond James, acting with integrity in all interactions. Ensure full compliance with FCA rules, the RJWM Compliance Manual, Financial Planning Practice Manual, and Staff Handbook. Maintain your Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) in line with company procedures and FCA requirements. Qualifications & Experience: Degree‑level education (or equivalent experience) preferred. Commitment to maintaining and developing relevant professional qualifications. If not already Chartered, you will be supported and expected to work towards Chartered Financial Planner status. Demonstrable experience in building and managing a portfolio of private clients, delivering tailored wealth management solutions that meet their needs. Knowledge & Skills: Strong relationship‑management skills, with the ability to build trust and communicate clearly with clients from all backgrounds. Confident networker with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Motivated, proactive, and focused on delivering positive outcomes. Understanding of legal, regulatory, and company policy requirements, with a commitment to operating to the highest standards. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Performance Measures: Achievement of revenue and profitability targets. Client‑facing effectiveness, measured through KPIs. Compliance with regulatory requirements and quality of file reviews. Training & Competence (T&C) outcomes. Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR): This role is classified as a Certification Function under SMCR. You will be required to be certified annually by RJWM under a Function Requiring Qualifications.
