Description:
A Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Leader at The Helper Bees manages forecasting functions for the Company, reporting to the CFO. This includes analysis in decision-making in all matters operational, financial, and strategic. FP&A’s is a central liaison between the corporate and operations teams. As such, FP&A interfaces with all levels inside and outside of the company, including the executive management.
Success requires a strong analytical mindset with technical ability and excellent people skills.” The forecasts and analyses they generate inform management on the progress and effectiveness of the Company Strategies and investments. They also enable management to effectively communicate with external stakeholders

• Highly Proficient with
• FP&A Software (Datarails experience is a plus)
• Accounting software applications (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) or similar software (for example equivalent Google and/or Apple products)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required. MBA in Business, Accounting, or Finance is a huge plus..
• Experience with FP&A software and with Quickbooks is essential to the role. (Datarails FP&A experience is a plus).
• Minimum Five (5) years work experience in FP&A required

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

JOB DUTIES:

• Working with Management to build budgets and forecasts, including development of a rolling 12 month forecast (for the near term - 1 yr. and the long term - 5 yrs.) This will also include scenarios and modeling based on these budgets and forecasts.
• Variance Analysis to show management how the budget and/or rolling forecast compares against actual performance
• Monthly Consolidated Reporting
• Monitor Key Metrics and identify the cause of any unexpected variances
• Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), especially relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, and profit margin.
• FP&A is in frequent contact with all areas of the enterprise including operations, sales, marketing, treasury and accounting.
• Implement a business intelligence tool and dashboard reports (for example - FP&A Software)
• Decision support, Support management team and the Heads of Department with data-driven analysis
• Process Optimization = Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions (or support these processes)
• Special projects Support (M&A, Process Optimization, Market Research, Capital Allocation, etc.)
• Business Case financial support
