Description

Our downtown Vancouver Real Estate client is looking to hire for a newly created role: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) Manager. Reporting to the VP, Finance, the FP& A Manager will be responsible for:

  • Lead financial modeling for residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects.
  • Prepare and maintain project pro formas, scenario analyses, and investment return models. Work with development, construction, and asset management teams to gather support for pro formas.
  • Support land acquisition and development financing, including lender presentations and deal structuring.
  • Assist in the underwriting process for new acquisitions, including financial due diligence and valuation.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and debt tracking for multiple projects.
  • Prepare internal financial reports highlighting trends and variances.
  • Champion data collection and process improvement initiatives to ensure timely and accurate insights.
  • Explore and apply artificial intelligence tools to enhance financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Use data analytics to identify trends, optimize performance, and support strategic decisions.
  • Leverage tools such as Argus, Power BI, and Excel to manipulate and visualize data effectively.

The FP& A Manager will have their CPA designation, an audit background and 2+ years post public practice experience in an FP& A role from the real estate space. An audit background is not necessary if you have 5+ years of accounting and analyst experience from a real estate organization. Experience with real estate investment analysis is a huge asset. You must have experience with financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting and ideally hands on experience with Power BI or other BI tools.
Ideally you have been in a leadership role or have been in an indirect leadership role and are ready for your “next step”. You lead by example and thrive in a flat structure. You have low ego, really enjoy analysis and problem solving, are collaborative and want to be part of something special with an organization seeking to leave their mark on the Vancouver landscape. If this sounds like the role you have been looking for, please apply today! Please reference job number 05060-0013266132 in all correspondence.
