This position offers a hybrid schedule following successful completion of the introductory period. POSITION SUMMARY The Financial Planning Specialist is responsible for assisting with financial planning processes and focusing on proactive client relationship management. You will work directly with senior financial advisor & CEO, Steve Cassaday, his clients, and prospective clients. This position reports to both the Chief Executive Officer and his Chief of Staff, and works closely with all departments within the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities of the position include a cross-section of Financial Planning and Investment Management firm clients, including but not limited to: Prospective Client Relationship Management Attending prospective client meetings as an active participant in the sales process. Participating in new client onboarding meetings. Supporting preparation of meeting materials for high net worth/complex prospects. Assisting with prospective client pipeline management. Assisting with new client onboarding processes. Current Client Relationship Management Participating in client review meetings as an active participant in the relationship management process. Proactive & ongoing review and coordination of client’s financial planning needs Debriefing & coordination of follow-up tasks needed after client meetings. Creating, editing, and reviewing meeting materials for client & prospective meetings. Creating & reviewing reports. Gathering & entering data into CRM. Generating cash flow projections, social security analysis, etc. Additional projects as requested. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree is required for this role. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial planning/investment management role. CFP certification required; and ability to use CFP marks within 6 months of hire Fully licensed required: Life & Health, Series 66 (or combination 63/65), and Series 7; or ability to become fully licensed within 90 days of hire. Detail oriented. Good communication skills; both verbal and written. Sales skills a plus. Strong analytical background necessary to complete client analysis. Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
